Starting on January 15, 2011 from the shores of the Pacific in San Diego, Ca., Aaron Roux set out on a 2.5 month journey on his handcycle with plans of reaching St. Augustine, Fl. on the Atlantic Ocean. He is a medically retired Marine and C6/7 quadriplegic as a result of an automobile accident.

En route he will conduct community outreach and raise awareness and visibility across the Nation in an effort to promote the positive physical and psychological effects of a lifetime of integrated exercise and competition for quadriplegics. They will look to educate the public regarding the varying degrees of quadriplegia, and the sport and recreation opportunities available to the different abilities level.

** As part of the ride Aaron will be raising funds for Access Leisure Kids Camps, including WAVE Camp, Camp COOL, SNOW Camp and Teen Camp.  If you would like to sponsor his efforts and “Ride with Roux”, and to follow his journey please visit** www.transamericanquads.com.
