Access Leisure Monthly Calendar

We offer community programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. See the descriptions of each activity for age and ability appropriateness. For more information or to receive a monthly calendar, please call (916) 808-6085. Print, complete and submit registration form to participate. Refer to policies on registration form for more information.

Saturday March 1 Lunch & Cinema—10:45am-3pm. 10:45am-3pm. Regal Natomas Marketplace, 3561 Truxel Rd. Mail $6.00 for registration; Day of event, bring extra money for the movies and lunch($8 for movie and $8+ for lunch). Meet in front of the theaters. Limited to 40.

Sunday, March 2, CSUS Gymnastics: Hornets vs Anchorage, Alaska —1:45 - 4:15pm. Cost $8.00, Mail in form and money but bring extra money with you if you’d like snacks/beverages. Drop-off and pick-up will be in front of Hornet Men’s’ Gym. Note: If there are less than 12 registrations, this program will be cancelled.

Monday, March 3 Video/Pizza Night—6:30–8:45pm Cost is $7.00. ($8.00 at the Door) Hart Senior Center, 915-27th St. We will see the latest release and have pizza. Limited to 70 people. Note: The movie will begin promptly. Have rides no later than 8:45pm.

Bok Kai Festival & Parade, Sat, March 8, 9:00-3:00pm, $25.00
127th annual festival held in Marysville honoring Bok Kai, the Chinese God of Water, pays tribute to the many Chinese who worked the gold mines in the 1800s. Wear comfortable shoes; bring a sack lunch or $8- $12 for food, a lawn chair, light sweater or jacket and extra money for shopping. SEATING is LIMITED. This will be a rain or shine trip, so bring appropriate gear if it looks like rain is possible. Don’t wait to sign up! Meeting Place: Clunie Community Center (601 Alhambra Blvd) Must have 30 to 40 registrants for this program and must register by February 26, 2008.

Saturday March 15 Crafts Night - 6:00-8:00pm. Cost $12, Hart Senior Center, 915-27th St. ($14.00 at the Door) . Join us for an evening of creating holiday crafts. Only 30 spaces available. Dinner will not be provided. Cost will cover craft projects. Assistants are welcome.

Tuesday March 18 Evening Social - 6:00-8:30pm. Hart Senior Center, 915-27th St. Cost is $6.00 ($8.00 at the Door) . Join us for an evening of friends, food, crafts, and games.

Reno Silver Legacy, Sunday, April 13, 7am-6:00pm, Cost is $48.00
***Please note that participant must be 21 years or older, and be able to function in 5:1 participant to staff ratio, and have some knowledge of money concepts and casino games. ***Must have picture ID!***
Must bring at least $20 for food and gambling. ● Bonus: $10 cash back & $ 5.00 Food Coupon
Note: Service providers may be asked to provide chaperones for their clients.
Two Meeting sites:
North Area: 6:45am at Orange Grove, 4640 Orange Grove Ave;
South Area: 6:45am at Clunie Community Center 601 Alhambra Blvd

Program Notes:
Sunday, March 16, Arc Cal District 2 Bowling Tournament – Country Club Bowling Center, 2600 Watt Avenue, 8:00am-1:30pm, Volunteers are always welcomed. Bowlers must have competed in January to be eligible for this tournament. Immediately after competition, pizza & awards will be presented. For more information, call 808-6045.
